I have decided to try out each size in the Girls Regency Gown Pattern from Sense and Sensibility. Size 3 was a custom order and made in the same fabrics as the green and gold hobbit dress, but here is size 4 in a fresh color combination!
I decided to go with a pink and blue theme for this one. It is a bit more florally than the others but I really wanted to use this lovely blue printed cotton. I've had it for a while and it was ready to be used.
My favorite part is the criss crossed blue satin ribbons on the front of the stomacher - I think I would have loved to have worn this when I was little.
It's available in the shop!

Oh, and I'm finally getting back into historical sewing after going through a rather apathetic last month or so. I fitted a new pattern for 18th century stays and am getting ready to start sewing them! I think I may try to handsew them this time around. . .I'm ready to tackle something new. My old stays simply do not fit anymore and are very moth-holey, but at least they were good practice when I made them. Now I know what not to do.
